I Found this Beauty at a Vegas Car Show on 12/6/15 just Stunning.
What a great yr for Ford Trucks. It was the 2nd yr of the "Twin I-Beam" front suspension system where the 2 front axles work independently to absorb road shocks. It also holds wheel alignment which reduces tire wear, Although this 66 was modified with a Mustang II front ser up, To bring it closer to the ground, In combination with the new Flex-O-Matic rear suspension which adjust spring stiffness, you are guaranteed a smooth ride.
While 1966 was the 1st yr for a bunch of new options such as the 360 & 390 cu. in. V8 engines, it was the last yr for this particular body style.
This 66 Crew was updated with a Mustang II front set up, to Lay low to the Ground.
Sporting a 147" Wheel base this 1966 Ford 250 Crew is one Long Low Cruising Machine.
Simple yet Very Functional Interior
Looks Just as impressive from the Backside.
There is not much info out there on these crew cabs as the Majority of these were used industrially by the City an County, Like the Forestry Service an Such.
This all in all its a Great Survivor with an orig 6 cylinder , manual trans. That goes to Show you , Think out side the Box when Building an or Saving a Classic. Dont be Like everyone else & Save something Unique You will Feel good inside ;) .
